A potential conflict of interest continues in the City of Brainerd regarding a contractor and the airport. FFM previously highlighted the issue.
According to the Brainerd Dispatch:
The conflict of interest accusation involves airport commissioner Doug Kuepers, whose company, Kuepers Inc., architects and builders, was hired to be the on-site manager of the airport remodeling project by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., whom the airport commission hired as a consulting engineer for the project.
After two failed motions, the council took no action.
