Later this month, the Brainerd City Council will debate a potential conflict of interest with an airport commissioner and his construction company that was hired for the $6.4 million dollar terminal renovation project. The issue was brought to the attention of the council by a Brainerd citizen.
According to an article in the Brainerd Dispatch, Council President Mary Koep said there was “enough serious discussion warranted to have the item placed on the April 18 agenda for discussion by the full council.” No matter what the council decides, at least they’ve given the public a chance to react.
