Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, made this statement last Tuesday. 
He’s cautiously optimistic about the rapid development and deployment of a vaccine because there are currently 10 vaccines in clinical trials and “more than 120 more in development.”
Contrary to what some in the Minnesota legislature believe, this is what PhRMA companies do every day – critical research and development of new and lifesaving drugs and vaccines that will one day make COVID-19 just a very bad memory for most of the world.
