Fairmont, MN. Coming soon to the Travel Channel? Not so fast. The Fairmont Sentinel reported that Mayor Randy Quiring proposed spending “$19,800 for a five-minute feature about Fairmont during the “Profiles with Terry Bradshow” program on the Travel Channel.”
Said Quiring: “For economic development it’s pretty expensive, but to have that professional piece we can use as we want – it’s just one part of a plan I have.”
If the city moves forward, the production company must still decide if Fairmont will be selected. For taxpayers’ sake, let’s hope not.
