Stearns County will decide if it will create a 9 year tax-increment funding district for a proposed expansion for Archer Daniels Midland. The plan would call for a large grain elevator for loading rail cars.
From the St. Cloud Times:
“ADM’s plans call for initially building four bins that can hold half a million bushels of grain and one that can hold a million bushels. Three additional bins would be built in the future as needed. The project is expected to create eight to 10 jobs with wages anywhere from $36,000 to $65,000 a year.”
