You Are Graduating From the Most Prestigious University in America and You Think You’re Marginalized

It is commencement season and once again, Harvard University, that bastion of “marginalized and underrepresented” students, is allowing students to host “affinity group” graduation celebrations.

The big news, however, is that they are “allowing” “Jews” to host their own celebration – an oversight from the 2023 celebrations. That’s so open-minded of the administration, don’t you think?

Did they think, in light of the recent campus upheaval, that maybe Jewish students don’t feel safe hosting their own celebration on campus?

That thought occurred to us and also to Shabbos Kestenbaum – a Harvard Divinity School student who dared to testify before a U.S. House of Representatives committee about the antisemitism at Harvard.

Mr. Kestenbaum spoke about the “personal threats, blood libels, arguments that ‘too many damn Jews run this country’ and in one case, a Harvard employee posting a video on a social-media account with a machete and picture of Kastenbaum’s face.”

When Mr. Kestenbaum contacted Harvard’s DEI office to complain, school administrators told him that “everything he has experienced ‘falls outside their purview.”

We wonder why he doesn’t want to appear at the Jewish graduation celebration this month at Harvard.
